Review of Starting an Etsy business. A well written instructional guide for anyone who would like to sale handmade goods, supplies, vintage items, jewelry,artists of all description. You get an intro, to an on line business model, from your sign up of an Etsy account , navigate the site, instruction from start to finish.

Rules listed on what you can and can not sell on line.

Leads you step by step on creating an eye catching store front.

Lots of hints on how to photograph items, how to compose titles and descriptions, Instructions on every phase of your sales, how to ship, to purchase, postage and printing a mailing label. Listing an item on line for .20 cents an item.

I have been an Etsy shop owner since 2008, and this book answered a score of questions regarding how a Treasury list works,I believe the best section of this book was learning how to get exposure, how to market my business, build a brand name, create a logo, how to understand all phases of your business.

I have never been interested in Facebook, or Twitter but if you are already on any of these media sights there are sections just for you. How to make the most of your items.

You can actually establish a healthy income, depending on how hard you work. I found myself excited to try marketing ideas.

I recommend this book for artists and entrepreneurs looking to build an online craft business from scratch.

Most of the "For Dummies" series of books are clearly not written by dummies and Starting an Etsy Business for Dummies is no exception. The authors meticulously go over every aspect of starting a business on Etsy maintaining though out a infectious enthusiasm about the selling process on Etsy that I found encouraging. I have an interest in using Etsy to sell prints I make, so this book was particularly relevant to me, and I came away from it feeling much more confident about doing so. I highly recommend this book to anyone thinking of selling on Etsy, if you are a dummy about Etsy before going into this book, you will be a dummy no more after reading it!

I have to confess that I opened my Etsy store a year and a half ago, but really had no clue as to how to make it work as well as it should. "Starting an Etsy Business for Dummies" really did help me to go through, step by step and rethink my business plan, get more familiar with the Etsy site and offer the products that Etsy buyers are most likely to connect with. Selling on Etsy is a different beast from selling on eBay or even on Amazon, Kate Gaski and Kate Shoup go over the differences and explain it very well. I would definitely recommend this book if you are looking for good, general advice on how to make the most of Etsy in one convenient place.

GREAT RESOURCE!

Well organized and great information. Definitely a must buy for mursing students and new grads as well as seasoned nurses. I encouraged all of my students to buy this book! The authors are from the UK I believe so some of the spellings are a bit different from how they tend to be spelled in the US, which through me off at first but you get over it quickly.

Calling his book a "field guide to ecology," Kricher introduces basic ecological concepts and describes notable field marks that define a particular environment. Twenty-seven types of forest communities east of the Rockies are described in terms of their characteristic indicator species. Illustrative plates, many of which are in color, accompany these descriptions. Seasonal processes within the forest are also discussed. Introducing the Eastern Forest

The purpose of this guide is not to assist one in identifying species of flora and fauna found in the Eastern Forest--such a tome would be monumental in size--but rather to instill in the reader an understanding of the forest's general dynamics. The book is divided into eight sections; they are:
1) How to use this book
2) Forest field marks
3) Eastern forest communities
4) Disturbance and pioneer plants
5) Adaptation
6) Paterns of spring
7) Nature in summer
8) Autumn and winter
This book is an excellent beginning point for those who want to develope a better understanding of forest ecology. I highly recommend it.

How things really work

Though this guide and its companion Western forest edition have been in print for over a decade, I only stumbled on it last year. It concisely provides the missing links between other field guides to plants, fungi, insects, spiders, reptiles, amphibians, birds, mammals, tracks, fossils ... you get the drift. As a hiker, bird-watcher or -feeder, observer, photographer or amateur naturalist, the first step is usually simple identification of species. (With summer warblers, of course, the first step is actually seeing the bird in question.) In the same way that traditional field guides provide portable I.D. info, the ECOLOGY version helps you understand the change you see as you hike down out of a Beech-Maple forest into an Oak-Hickory stand, or the subtle differences when a Northern Riverine Forest segues into a Northern Swamp. By no means comprehensive (remember this fits in your pocket), this book, like the science of ecology itself, is composed of seemingly endless delightful digressions. Where do galls come from? How do dragonflies mate? Have you ever bothered to learn frog calls? What can the vegetation in an old field tell you about history? This volume (and by my inference the Western companion) are an excellent and fascinating addition to any field guide collection.

Kerley's third Mobile mystery is as compelling as his first two, The Hundredth Man (2004) and The Death Collectors (2005). His plotting is cleverly believable, his protagonists realistically flawed, and his villains utterly but all-too-humanly evil. A Very Good Thriller

Jack Kerley has come a long way from The Hundredth Man in terms of his style and his ability to draw the reader in and tell an excellent story that is also well crafted. Ryder and Nautilus are dealing with a case that centers around a wealthy Mobile family, the Kincannons, who have a great deal of influence. Influence aside, Ryder has a separate problem with a member of the Kincannon family as he is sleeping with his girlfriend DeeDee. As the mystery deepens and the murders mount Ryder and Nautilus try to figure out a way to deal with a family whose influence makes them hard to touch.

As a reader, when I started the series I was a little doubtful because the first book had some technical issues that rankled me, but as he as progressed his pacing and plotting and gotten so much better. The Death Collectors was a serious step up from The Hundredth Man and with this novel to the improvement is just as noticeable so I am looking forward to seeing what happens to Ryder and Nautilus. Plus, since Ryder gets dumped on average of once a novel, the poor guy, you just have to keep reading them to hope that he'll get a relationship that will stick.

A Different Approach

I guess it is kind of difficult to conjure up a new main character/sidekick combination, but Jack Kerley has done a good job of it. I actually like carson Ryder and care what happens to him in the book. I read this one quickly and enjoyed every page, even if the incarcerated psycho-brother was a bit of stretch (you KNOW we'll see him on the loose someday!)

The necessary background information

Personally, I read this novel after watching the anime and reading the Bandai published manga. I feel it could be fine to do so in any order, but slightly lean towards my own route because it explains so many intricate details of Lelouch and Suzaku's past- and why their friendship was able to sustain through the entire series.

The main topic which I found interesting was the reason behind the Japanese/ Brittanian war, which in the anime was stated to be sparked over sakuradite mines. The novel goes in depth to explain why the prime minister Genbu Kururugi was so adamant about the war, and why Suzaku chose to intervene.

This novel is essential to any fan of the series, and will quench the thirst of those who inquire about the origins of the war set seven years before the actual story of Code Geass.

How Lelouch and Suzaku Became Friends

This book details the "prequel" type history of Lelouch and Suzaku's relationship seven or eight years before the anime series begins.

It delves into some interesting material that we never see in the anime, i.e., Tohdoh's importance in Suzaku's early life, and the slow building of the friendship between Lelouch and Suzaku. I was moved by Suzaku's loneliness and isolation (Lelouch and Nunnally are his only friends growing up). Most significantly, we find out the real reason why Suzaku committed a certain heinous act... which was very enlightening.

I actually found the writing to be of high quality, and more literary in nature than most "novelization" type books that are based on film or TV media.

If you're a Code Geass fan, this novel will give you more background information on the story, on Lelouch, and especially on Suzaku.

and this was a great way to encounter her work

I had been meaning to read Ursula for a long time, and this was a great way to encounter her work. These stories are a collection of her earliest pieces, and you can tell the immense experience she has with all formats and influences. Vaster than Empires and More Slow is an incredible story that had me completely absorbed by the book. I just finished the book and will be ordering the first half immediately after posting.

Excellent collection of short stories

I bought this book for the first story "Semley's Necklace" however; all of them will surpass your expectations. Ursula has a unique way with words that rival her tales.
